Eagle Mask Dancer
Acrylic Paint, Feathers, Cellophane, Wood, Beaver fur, & Wire Sculpture
UAA Juried Student Art Show, April 2018
Hugh McPeck Gallery - Simple, Modern, Traditional Art Show, July 2019
This wire sculpture is based off of Isaiah's Eagle Mask, as well as the sculpture representing one of our dancers named Joseph from our Kisagvigmiut Traditional Dance Group. The shadows will display the ending motion of a dance, and displays some movements during Isaiah's Eagle song. The qupaks (geometric trim on regalia) is shown along the side of the base of the painted Eagle Mask, to represent that it is Isaiah's mask design.
